The coronavirus epidemic is highlighting the importance of leadership, or the impact of the lack thereof, across government, the media, business, technology, academic and civil society, to name only several sectors or spheres of life. In this session, a group of early-career postgraduates and young professionals selected from across Ditchley Festival of Ideas and partner organisations will review the responses of public leaders across sectors, geographies and generations and specify which attributes they believe need to be carried forward into leadership following the pandemic. They will determine which of these attributes are most conducive to trust in leaders and institutions, and what the exercising of these attributes should entail in practice.
