
Global Director, Climate, Children's Investment Fund Foundation
Theo is the Global Director, Climate at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), the world’s largest philanthropic foundation dedicated to improving the lives and rights of children globally.
At CIFF, Theo oversees a major grants portfolio covering the UK, Europe, global energy and industrial decarbonisation, communications and public engagement, and the geopolitical dimensions of climate action. He brings deep expertise on the political economy of climate action in the UK, Europe and across multilateral institutions, including the UNFCCC.
Prior to joining CIFF, Theo worked in the European Parliament for Lord Ian Duncan, led the policy and regulatory functions of the CCS Association, and developed energy projects and climate strategy in UK local government and in Madagascar. Theo also worked for 3 years as a freelance climate and energy consultant, during which time he worked with the Prince of Wales’ Corporate Leaders Group, the Bellona Foundation, Summit Power, the Oil & Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI), and the All Party Parliamentary Group on Renewable and Sustainable Energy (PRASEG). He sits on the Board of various multinational organisations working on climate change.
