The Ditchley Foundation launched its conference programme for 2025 by setting out to explore how to deliver on the Labour government’s ambition to address the long-term low growth of the British economy in a context of geopolitical competition. The conference, titled Great British Growth, asked what the UK can do to grow its economy in a period that will witness an intensification of competition between the US and China and a likely divergence between the US and the European Union over trade.
